Prisilia Joyceline Atmojo Wins 3rd Place in the University of Indonesia Excel Competition
Prisilia Joyceline Atmojo, a student from the Office Administration Education class of 2022 has successfully won 3rd place in an Excel competition held by the University of Indonesia on July 25, 2024. The competition, which was held online via Zoom, tested participants' skills in using various Excel features, including formulas, pivot tables, and creating data visualizations (dashboards).
This competition was announced through the Office Administration Education Study Program Student Association (HMP PAP) group, which encouraged Prisilia to register and test her Excel skills. In preparation, Prisilia attended a technical meeting on July 23, 2024, which discussed the competition rules, basic materials such as Excel formulas (IF, CONCATENATE, HLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, RIGHT, LEFT, MID), pivot tables, and examples of more complex dashboards. On this occasion, participants were also given a grid of questions that had to be studied.
On the day, the competition started at 09.00 to 12.00 with a working time of 2 hours. All participants were required to stay on camera and share their desktop screen to avoid cheating. Prisilia worked on the formula section quickly, but faced difficulties in the pivot table section, where she had to find answers through the pivot table in Google Form. Some of the answers sought through multiple choice and fill-in questions raised doubts.
For the dashboard section, which uses data about hospitals, Prisilia spent time designing the layout and graphic design. Unfortunately, not knowing the complete instructions for the questions resulted in errors in displaying the data, which affected the efficiency of the work. Although late in collecting the results, the committee gave an opportunity by deducting points.
The announcement of the competition results was made on the same day at 16.00 via Instagram Story. Prisilia did not expect much because the results were considered less than optimal due to the deduction of points, but gratefully, she managed to win 3rd place. This achievement shows Prisilia's dedication and ability in the field of Excel despite facing various challenges during the competition.
Congratulations to Prisilia Joyceline Atmojo for her proud achievement and may it be an inspiration for other students to continue developing their skills.
