Teaching Practitioner Day: Driving Public Service Excellence in Office Administration Education

Surabaya, April 29, 2025 – Office Administration Education Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Surabaya State University (UNESA) conducted a Teaching Practitioner activity which was held on the 2nd Floor of G3 FEB UNESA. The activity had the theme "Public Service Transformation: Fast, Easy, and Transparent" and was actively participated in by students of classes G,H and International class

Present as the sole resource person was Dr.(c). Irfan Kharisma Putra, S.AB., M.AB., CDM., C.PS., CESAM, professional practitioner and CEO of PT. The Infinite Idea Corp. The activity was facilitated by Dr. Eva Mufidah, S.AB., MM., lecturer at the UNESA Office Administration Education Study Program. In his address, Mr. Irfan described the soul of people-and-public-satisfaction-focused public service change using technology. He highlighted the point on how instant, convenient, and transparent service could encourage people's trust and what the office administration could play to become a point of gravity towards facilitating the same.

Not only in terms of presenting content, this exercise is also complemented by a direct practice session that invites students to role-play the process of excellent service in a professional manner. By this practice, students can learn how to effectively communicate with service users and enact responsive and solution-oriented service values. In addition to the fundamental material, Mr. Irfan also provided inspiration and motivation to the students regarding the importance of charting the course of the future in advance. He challenged the learners to start asking themselves, "What do you want to be in the future?", as the initial step in creating a more focused career and life plan.

This activity is part of the Independent Campus program and UNESA's assistance as a PTN-BH that continues to encourage collaboration among scholars and industry. In running this activity, hopes are that students can gain practical knowledge and inspiration to keep on developing in meeting the dynamic work environment.
