Patriotism Seminar 2024
Surabaya, 28 May 2024 – The active role of students is very important for nation development for the next period. However, in fact, the majority of students currently ignore the emerging movements and take for granted the country's problems which are very dangerous for the nation's future. It cannot be denied that with what is happening now, student movements in criticizing government policies are increasingly meaningless and are just considered a passing wind.
With the various problems and increasingly confusing conditions in Indonesia, the Office Administration Education Study Program Student Association, Faculty of Economics and Business, Surabaya State University, is holding an activity, namely the 2024 Patriotism Seminar with the theme, "Maintaining Magic in Building the Nation by Criticizing National Social and Political Problems, ” which will be held on Tuesday, May 28 2024, at 09.00 WIB – 12.00 WIB at Auditorium G6, Faculty of Economics and Business, Surabaya State University.
This seminar presented three great speakers, namely Mr. Arif Fatoni, SH who is the Chair of Commission A DPRD Surabaya, Mrs. Silkania Swarizona, S.IP., M.IP. who is a UNESA Political Science lecturer, and Thoriq Ghozali who is a Political Science student at Airlangga University.
This event went smoothly, starting with the opening by the MC, singing the songs Indonesia Raya and Mars Unesa, a report from the chief executive, remarks from the chairman of the Office Administration Education Study Program Student Association, remarks from Mr. Prof. Dr. Anang Kistyanto, S. Sos., M. Si. Who is the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Surabaya State University. The next event was a discussion session from the three speakers with a very interesting topic, namely "Maintaining Magic in Building the Nation by Criticizing National Social and Political Problems". After the discussion was delivered, it was followed by a question and answer session by participants who were very enthusiastic about this seminar and continued by reading the conclusion by the moderator, reading a prayer, and closing.
This event was very lively as evidenced by the enthusiasm of the participants during the question and answer session. Participants who attended this seminar were general students at Surabaya State University. By holding this seminar, it is hoped that general students will understand various forms of social and political problems, increase students' knowledge and role in society, form ideas in responding to possible forms of neo-orba and also form thoughts that can bring these roles into the community sphere. as a form of maintaining MAGIC (Moral Force, Agent of Change, Guardian of Value, Iron Stock, Social Control)
